The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly - 7/6/22
The ongoing saga…
The Great – The swearing in of Katanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court. Her record and background are stellar by all accounts as a judiciary appointee!
The Good – The new FSMB policy changes related to the use of telemedicine will ultimately stand as a very important change in how and where we can provide effective and efficient services for people across the nation PLUS, the respite of the July 4th holiday is upon us along with the (seeming) dissipation of COVID to some degree and the opening of Farmers’ Markets across the USA in time for summer strolls.
The Bad – My prediction is that the recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling is not just a policy earthquake but an awakening – especially among the younger generation – on the long-term importance of elections and policy directions for the USA. It will no doubt cause reverberations across the nation for generations to come.
The Ugly – The passage of minimalist gun laws by the U.S. Senate as a smokescreen for mitigating the decision to undue a century old policy in the State of New York regarding “open carry” of firearms.
