The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly - 4/28/20

The ongoing saga… 

The Great – Despite the diminished respect for experts (see below), Anthony Fauci, MD has turned into a national media hero. Keep it up Dr. Fauci! We need people with backbone in government!!

The Good – Despite all the downside of the pandemic, the upside is the quality of family time which has turned positive. We’re actually having regular dinners with our son and each other. Plus, the dinners have become a competition of sorts. Our time together has become a positive couple of hours every evening despite the news of the day. We might even try to continue this phenomenon which we retrieved from the 1950s – before the onset of the television era… 

The Bad – The decision by the Governor of Georgia to open up the state despite the advice against it by nearly every health care expert. But, then again, this is the era of diminished respect for expert opinion. We’ll have to keep an eye on the results…

The Ugly – Clorox tablets, Lysol gargle, and all of the other approaches proposed for internal cleansing. Can you actually believe we’re having this discussion?
