The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly - 12/28/20

The ongoing saga…

The Great – Since the last blog, we’ve started the vaccination of American citizens for immunization against the COVID-19 virus with the hope that in a year or so, we’ll have the pandemic under control. Let’s keep hoping that is the case…

The Good – The availability of the Internet to allow for family and colleague connections for both pleasure and work. Imagine where we would be if it were not available. Perhaps we should even begin to advocate that it should become available to everyone like “water” and “electricity” regardless of where we live. Imagine that??

The Bad – The ongoing increase in the number of COVID-19 cases as a result of Thanksgiving get-togethers and the very real fear that the back-to-back events of Christmas and New Years will only worsen a bad situation into a really, really bad situation…

The Ugly – The denial – and, even lying – about the extent of the COVID-19 pandemic which is distressing for those of us who are in the health care field. This pandemic is not made up. It is real and there is “data” to support that contention.
